My Ex-Fiance's Rebirth Script

My Ex-Fiance's Rebirth Script

The crystal chandelier's light pierced my eyes, sharp and painful.
The Banquet Hall was filled with the fizzing of champagne bubbles and the soft murmurs of guests laughing and chatting.
I wore a tailored white evening gown, standing at the far end of the red carpet.
Beside me, Sean Silva wore a perfectly tailored suit, a rehearsed smile curling on his lips.
His mother hurried over, her face etched with urgency.
"Lydia, be more proactive during the toast later. Sean's father is still waiting upstairs."
I nodded, though my heart felt as heavy as if weighed down by lead.
Everything around me was both familiar and alien at the same time.
Because this isn't the first time I've been through this engagement banquet.
In my previous life, I stood here just like this, joyfully marrying Sean Silva.
Back then, I had no idea what awaited me.
I was born with the ability of a spiritual medium, able to communicate between the human and spirit realms.
After Sean found out, he persistently badgered me with both hard and soft tactics.
He promised that if I helped him secure Old Mr. Silva's hundred-billion inheritance, he would treat me well for the rest of my life.
I believed him.
I used my spirit medium arts to locate the will Old Mr. Silva had hidden beneath the old mansion, and at his deathbed, I guided him to proclaim Sean Silva as his successor.
I never expected that this would mark the beginning of my nightmare.
Less than six months into the marriage, Sean Silva showed his true colors.
He not only had an affair with my junior sister, Reese Stephenson, but also conspired with her to frame me.
They branded me a demoness who brought disaster upon the Silva Family and locked me away in a mental institution.
In the end, lying on a cold hospital bed, they injected me with a fatal overdose, and I died in agony.
On the brink of death, I saw Sean Silva and Reese embracing, their smiles blindingly cruel.
When I opened my eyes again, I was back at that engagement banquet.
My heart felt as if an invisible hand was squeezing it tightly, the pain almost stealing my breath.
I suppressed the rising emotions, forcing myself to appear as calm as usual.
Just then, Sean Silva suddenly picked up the microphone and cleared his throat.
The guests fell silent instantly, all eyes locking onto him.
A chill shot through me—I had a terrible premonition.
"Thank you all for coming to the engagement banquet of Lydia Jones and me today."
Sean's voice resonated throughout the Banquet Hall through the speakers.
But in the next moment, his words pierced my heart like a sharp dagger.
"But I'm sorry, today I must announce something—I am calling off my wedding with Lydia Jones."
The entire hall erupted into stunned silence.
Sean Silva's mother's face immediately turned ashen; she hurried forward to stop him, but he shoved her aside.
I feigned shock, covering my mouth and forcing a few tears from my eyes.
Deep down, I knew this moment was inevitable.
Sean Silva's gaze fixed on a corner of the crowd.
Reese Stephenson stepped out gracefully, dressed in a red gown.
Her lower abdomen was slightly swollen, a triumphant smile playing on her lips.
"The one I truly want to marry is Reese Stephenson."
Sean Silva reached out and wrapped his arm around Reese's waist, his voice incredibly gentle.
"Besides, Reese is skilled in spirit medium arts; she can assist me with much more."
Reese shot me a provocative glance, a mocking smile curling at the corner of her mouth.
I lowered my eyelids, hiding the chill in my eyes.
It seems I am not the only one who has been reborn.
Sean Silva and Reese Stephenson have also returned with memories from their past lives.
Do they really think they can scheme against me again like this?
How utterly naive.
I took a deep breath and lifted my head, my face still perfectly masked with just the right amount of surprise and hurt.
Now is not the time to tear off the mask; I must play dumb first and see what tricks they will try next.

The engagement banquet ended in discord, with guests leaving in hushed whispers.
I stood there, watching Sean Silva and Reese Stephenson cling to each other intimately.
Reese deliberately pushed out her belly and walked up to me.
"Lydia, you saw it too—Sean loves me, not you."
Her voice brimmed with arrogance, "Besides, I can use spirit medium arts, far superior to you. From now on, everything in the Silva Family will belong to us."
Sean Silva also chimed in, "Lydia, be sensible and step back willingly. Don't embarrass yourself or others."
I looked at them, a cold sneer forming in my heart.
In my previous life, my weakness was what allowed them to bully me so cruelly.
But this time, I will never make the same mistake again.
But I didn't lose my temper right away; I just calmly stared at Sean Silva.
"Sean, have you really thought it through?"
I paused, my voice growing serious. "Reese Stephenson's spirit medium arts are completely inauthentic."
"If you let her help you contact the spirit, especially involving Old Mr. Silva's soul, it could shatter his soul, condemning him to endless unrest."
I genuinely warned him—after all, Old Mr. Silva had treated me fairly in my previous life.
But Sean didn't appreciate it; instead, he thought I was simply jealous of Reese.
"Lydia Jones, stop spreading baseless rumors to scare people!"
His expression darkened. "Reese's spirit medium arts are far superior to yours. You just can't stand to see us succeed!"
Reese stepped forward and shoved me.
"You useless woman who can't even bear children—why are you trying to snatch Sean away? Get lost!"
I stumbled but caught my balance.
Rage flared within me, but I forced myself to hold it back.
Yet they only grew more brazen.
Sean Silva suddenly grabbed the collar of my evening gown and yanked hard.
With a sharp rip, the neckline of my evening gown was torn, revealing my shoulder.
Reese Stephenson also lunged at me, clawing viciously at my face with her nails.
"Why are you trying to snatch Sean! I warned you not to meddle!"
A sharp pain flared across my cheek; I could feel drops of blood trickling down.
I could no longer hold back and raised my hand to fight back.
At that moment, a tall figure suddenly charged forward.
He was wearing a black trench coat, moving like lightning.
He kicked Sean Silva in the stomach. Sean screamed painfully, released his grip, and staggered back several steps.
Reese froze in fear, her hand stopping as she stared at the newcomer in terror.
I lifted my head and looked at the person who had saved me.
His features were chiseled, his eyes sharp, exuding an overwhelming aura.
"Who are you?" Sean Silva clutched his stomach and shouted in anger.
He ignored Sean Silva and instead turned to look at me.
His gaze landed on the wounds on my face and my torn evening gown, a faint, barely noticeable fury flickering in his eyes.
"My name is Joshua Lancaster, the eldest son of the Lancaster family."
He pulled out a clean handkerchief and offered it to me. "Miss Jones, are you alright?"
I took the handkerchief, gently wiped the blood from my face, and shook my head.
"Thank you, Mr. Lancaster."
Joshua nodded, then looked at Sean Silva and Reese Stephenson with an icy gaze.
"To lay hands on a lady in broad daylight—is this how the Silva Family raises you?"
Sean Silva and Reese Stephenson were stunned by his presence, unable to speak for a moment.
Joshua stopped looking at them and turned to me. "Miss Jones, I hear you practice the spirit medium arts?"
"My father's soul has been unstable lately, and he remains unconscious. I earnestly beg you to help summon his spirit."
I was momentarily stunned, not expecting such a sudden request.

In my previous life, I had never met Joshua Lancaster.
It seems that because of my rebirth, many things have already changed in this life.
I looked into Joshua's sincere eyes and hesitated for a moment.
Helping him with the spirit summoning might be a good chance to escape from Sean Silva and Reese Stephenson.
Besides, I want to see if in this life, I can change even more people's fates.
I took a deep breath and nodded.
"Alright, I'll help you."
As soon as I agreed to help Joshua with the spirit summoning, Sean Silva suddenly spoke up.
"Wait!"
He got up from the ground, brushed the dust off his clothes, and shot Joshua Lancaster a sinister glare. "What right do you have to ask Lydia to summon spirits for you? She's still my fiancée!"
Joshua sneered coldly, "Who was the one just now saying the wedding with Miss Jones was off? And now you're acting like the fiancé?"
Sean Silva was momentarily at a loss, then said, "Lydia's spirit medium arts aren't necessarily better than Reese's."
"You want her to summon spirits for you? That might end up harming your father!"
Reese immediately chimed in, "Exactly! My spirit medium arts are far superior to Lydia Jones'. Mr. Lancaster, why don't you let me help summon your father's spirit? I guarantee success."
Joshua didn't even glance at Reese; his eyes fixed on Sean Silva with a hint of mockery: "Since you're so confident, how about we make a bet?"
Sean's eyes lit up. "A bet? What kind?"
"Let Lydia and Reese each summon the spirit of my father and your father,"
Joshua said, "If Lydia succeeds while Reese fails, you owe me ten million. If the opposite happens, I owe you ten million. How about it?"
Sean Silva agreed without hesitation, "Alright! It's a deal!"
He was confident that Reese Stephenson would succeed; after all, in the previous life, Reese had helped him with many spiritual medium tasks.
But just then, Joshua Lancaster spoke up, "Wait, ten million is too little. Let's raise the stakes."
"If Miss Jones wins, you must hand over all your assets to me."
"If Reese wins, I'll give you half my assets. Do you dare to bet?"
Sean Silva hesitated. Though he trusted Reese, Joshua's assets far exceeded his own. Half of that was no small sum.
But Reese Stephenson tugged on his arm and whispered, "Sean Silva, don't worry, I will definitely win."
"Then we'll get half of Joshua Lancaster's assets and never have to answer to anyone again."
Sean Silva was swayed by Reese, gritted his teeth, and said, "Fine! I'll bet with you!"
Joshua Lancaster nodded with satisfaction. "In that case, let's begin now. Sean, have Reese perform the spirit summoning for your father first."
Sean Silva immediately told Reese to get ready.
Reese took a compass and some paper money from her bag and moved to a corner of the banquet hall.
She closed her eyes, murmuring words under her breath.
The air around them seemed to turn cold and eerie.
After a moment, Reese suddenly opened her eyes and shouted, "Old Mr. Silva, show yourself!"
A faint silhouette slowly emerged from the air.
It was the very soul of Old Mr. Silva.
Sean Silva saw it and shouted excitedly, "Dad! It really is you!"
But at that moment, I noticed there wasn't a trace of joy on Old Mr. Silva's face; instead, it was filled with confusion and dread.
He kept glancing around anxiously, his eyes filled with unease.
"Where am I? Why am I here?"

Old Mr. Silva's voice trembled, "Shouldn't I be waiting for reincarnation in hell? Who summoned me here?"
Reese Stephenson said triumphantly, "Old Mr. Silva, it was I who summoned you."
"I am Sean's fiancée, Reese Stephenson. I possess the spirit medium arts. From now on, I will summon you often to watch over Sean's life."
But upon hearing this, Old Mr. Silva's expression grew even darker.
I thought to myself, something was definitely wrong; Reese Stephenson's spirit medium arts truly had problems.
Normally, summoning a soul with spirit medium arts only causes it to stay briefly, without disturbing the soul.
But Old Mr. Silva's current condition clearly shows he was forcibly summoned, which easily harms his soul.
Old Mr. Silva grew furious the moment he heard Reese Stephenson's words.
"You witch! Do you even know what you're doing?"
His phantom became unstable, his voice rising sharply: "Forcibly summoning my soul will scatter it to the winds!"
"Sean Silva, you ungrateful son! Did you make her do this?"
Sean was startled by Old Mr. Silva's fury and hurriedly explained, "Dad, I didn't make her do this. Reese wanted you to see what we..."
"How dare you deny it!"
Old Mr. Silva cut him off, "I've known for a long time that you're no good!"
"For the family inheritance, you stop at nothing—even tormenting my soul! You'll be struck down by divine punishment!"
At that moment, the sky suddenly darkened.
A gust of wind swept through, causing the banquet hall windows to bang loudly.
A figure draped in a black robe, clutching the Soul-Binding Chains, appeared in midair.
That's the Messenger of Hell!
The guests screamed in terror, scattering to the sides.
Sean Silva and Reese Stephenson turned deathly pale, trembling uncontrollably.
The Messenger of Hell's icy gaze locked onto Reese, his voice cold and sharp: "Forcibly summoning souls and disrupting the Order of Spirits and Human beings—what punishment do you deserve?"
Frightened, Reese dropped to her knees with a thud, repeatedly kowtowing: "Please have mercy, sir! Please have mercy! I didn't do it intentionally—I just wanted to help Sean Silva..."
"Too late!"
The Messenger of Hell snorted coldly, then the Soul-Binding Chains in his hand suddenly shot out, wrapping tightly around Reese Stephenson's neck.
He pulled hard, hoisting Reese off the ground, her feet dangling as her face flushed deep red with exertion.
"Ah! Help! Sean, save me!"
Reese struggled desperately, screaming.
Sean Silva wanted to rush forward to save her but froze under the Messenger of Hell's threatening glare.
At that moment, a crack of lightning suddenly streaked across the sky.
With a deafening crash, the lightning struck directly at the apparition of Old Mr. Silva.
Old Mr. Silva let out a piercing, agonized scream as his apparition instantly dissolved into thin air.
He... his soul has completely vanished!
Sean Silva's pupils contracted sharply as he stood there, utterly lost and distraught.
After a long moment, he finally came to his senses and abruptly turned toward Reese Stephenson, who was hanging suspended in midair.
"It's you! It's all your fault!"
Sean Silva charged forward like a madman, shoved the Messenger of Hell aside, and freed Reese from the Soul-Binding Chains.
He grabbed Reese by the hair and slapped her hard several times.
"You despicable woman! My father's soul has been shattered! It's all because of you!"
Reese Stephenson was beaten senseless, blood trickling from the corner of her mouth.
