**AGREEMENT TO TERMS**
These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement made between you, whether personally or on behalf of an entity (“you”) and Booklite ("we," "us" or "our"), concerning your access to and use of the [www.booklite.com](http://www.booklite.com) website as well as the Booklite mobile application and any other media form, media channel, mobile website or mobile application related, linked, or otherwise connected thereto (collectively, the “Service”).
You agree that by accessing the Service, you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by all of these Terms. IF YOU DO NOT AGREE WITH ALL OF THESE TERMS, THEN YOU ARE EXPRESSLY PROHIBITED FROM USING THE SERVICE AND YOU MUST DISCONTINUE USE IMMEDIATELY.
**INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS**
**Our Proprietary Content:** Unless otherwise indicated, the Service, including its source code, databases, functionality, software, website designs, audio, video, text, photographs, and graphics, and the trademarks, service marks, and logos contained therein (the "Platform Content") are owned or licensed to us and are protected by copyright and trademark laws.
**Our Role and Licensed Stories:** Booklite acts as a **distributor and authorized reseller** for curated short stories. The literary works available for purchase on the Service (the "Stories") are licensed to us from independent authors and publishers ("Rightsholders"). Unless explicitly stated, Booklite is not the publisher or copyright owner of these Stories.
**Your License to the Stories:** When you purchase a Story, you are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and read that Story for your personal, non-commercial use through the Service. **This license is granted to you by the respective Rightsholders through our distribution platform.** You do not acquire any ownership rights, copyright, or other intellectual property interests in the Stories. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works of, publicly display, or exploit any part of the Stories in any way, including for training machine learning or artificial intelligence systems.
**USER REPRESENTATIONS**
By using the Service, you represent and warrant that:
(1) all registration information you submit will be true, accurate, current, and complete;
(2) you will maintain the accuracy of such information and promptly update such registration information as necessary;
(3) you have the legal capacity and you agree to comply with these Terms;
(4) you are not a minor in the jurisdiction in which you reside;
(5) you will not access the Service through automated or non-human means, whether through a bot, script, or otherwise;
(6) you will not use the Service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose;
(7) your use of the Service will not violate any applicable law or regulation.
**PURCHASES AND PAYMENT**
We accept various forms of payment, as detailed at the point of purchase. You agree to provide current, complete, and accurate purchase and account information for all purchases made via the Service.
**All sales are final.** Due to the digital nature of the Stories, we do not offer refunds or exchanges. Once a Story is purchased and delivered to your account, the transaction is complete.
**THE BOOKLITE APP**
Our Service requires you to download our official Booklite mobile application from a legitimate app store (e.g., Apple App Store, Google Play Store) to read purchased Stories. You are responsible for downloading the App and for any data charges incurred from your mobile network provider.
**PROHIBITED ACTIVITIES**
You may not access or use the Service for any purpose other than that for which we make the Service available. Prohibited activities include, but are not limited to:
- Systematically retrieving data or other content from the Service to create or compile, directly or indirectly, a collection, compilation, database, or directory.
- Making any unauthorized use of the Service, including collecting usernames and/or email addresses of users by electronic or other means.
- Engaging in unauthorized framing of or linking to the Service.
- Copying, redistributing, publishing, or otherwise exploiting any of the Stories, except as explicitly permitted herein.
- Using the Service in any way that could interfere with, disrupt, or negatively affect the Service or the servers and networks connected to the Service.
**TERM AND TERMINATION**
These Terms shall remain in full force and effect while you use our Service. We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for any reason, without warning or liability, including for any breach of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will cease immediately.
**MODIFICATIONS AND INTERRUPTIONS**
We reserve the right to change, modify, or remove the contents of the Service at any time or for any reason at our sole discretion. We cannot guarantee the Service will be available at all times. We may experience hardware, software, or other problems or need to perform maintenance related to the Service, resulting in interruptions, delays, or errors.
**GOVERNING LAW**

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, BOOKLITE, ITS DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS EXPRESSLY DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. IN NO EVENT SHALL BOOKLITE BE LIABLE TO YOU OR ANY THIRD PARTY FOR ANY INDIRECT, CONSEQUENTIAL, INCIDENTAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, ARISING OUT OF YOUR USE OF, OR INABILITY TO USE, THE SERVICE.
